Bow's Peafowl Farm
Spalding Pied peafowl are a cross between the India Blue Pied and Java Green species of peafowl. These birds are also considered hybrids because of the cross between the 2 different species. Hybrid birds tend to be a little bigger than either the pure blues or greens.
The percentage of Java green that a bird has in it's bloodline will either make the bird a Spalding (50% blue and 50% green) or an Emerald Spalding ( 25% blue and 75% green ) or higher.
Our farm currently breeds and sales Emerald Spalding Pied 7/8 % green. These birds are beautifully colored with tight crests, long legs, and big yellow colored cheeks.
