The pictures below show some Purple Blackshoulder peafowl. Though they are called blackshoulder, the cocks back is more of a chocolate brown. The neck feathers,some of the back and train feathers reflect a purple color when the bird is in the sun light. These birds hatch out white with some very light streaks of brown on the wing feathers and keep getting darker until they are the color shown in these photos.
