Opal peafowl are a newer variety that have started gaining popularity among peafowl keepers. The male bird has a brownish dark green colored neck and head. The barring pattern of the wings are a light brown and gray. The train feathers are dark brown with highlights of opal around the eye feathers.
The Opal hen is gray with a white chest and and some chocolate color on the upper neck.
